Metal halide is the perfect lighting for such fish tank. Another type of lighting that is perfect for these tanks are compact bulbs since they last long and are affordable. Those who have plants in their fish tanks should be more cautious when deciding on the appropriate lighting.
This is because if they make a poor choice their plants will either grow poorly or fail to grow at all. When choosing a lamp for this kind of aquarium, one should opt for those with red wavelengths light emissions. After considering the above, the cost of the lighting also matters and prices vary accordingly. One should also remember that well lit aquariums mean healthy plants and fish. This will in turn translate into the beauty of the whole aquarium.
