Maximizing The Services At A Kitchen Showroom
Remodeling a kitchen can be a dream come true and a nightmare all at the same time. Your first visit to a kitchen showroom can truly be almost a fantasy ‘ gleaming lights, shiny appliances, perfectly aligned counter tops. But before going overboard, here’s what to expect.
A kitchen showroom is similar to an automobile dealership showroom. They put the best, most expensive models on display, in the spotlight, and play on your psyche to make you want and need what they have on display. And that’s fine. No matter what your budget is, however, keep that in perspective as you walk around and ask for design help and pricing information.
As you walk through these showrooms, remember that the purpose of each area is simply to show you various set ups with the different cabinetry, counters, colors, etc. Your chances of finding exactly what you had hoped for are slim, so don’t get discouraged or confused. Once you start choosing items you like a designer will help you put everything together in a way that makes sense, and he’ll be able to show you additional items that will add some pizzazz.
Before spending too much time doing this, make sure you have the exact measurements of the area you are designing ‘ without these measurements you will never even be able to come to an estimated price.
Everything you see in the showroom can be purchased through them. Installation can be arranged when necessary. However, because of the convenience factor you can expect to pay top dollar for everything that isn’t directly kitchen related. Lighting is a good example. Those perfect lights you saw over your new range top could very well be twice as much as they would be at any normal lighting retailer.
Even though you might be paying premium prices for these additional items, you will probably be given something extra like designer services for other rooms in your home, or perhaps some steep discounts on custom blinds.
Be aware that this isn’t going to happen quickly. Beautiful designer kitchens take time since everything needs to be custom ordered. Discuss all your time needs with your designer before ripping out what you have at home.
If you visit Wren Kitchens’ showroom, you will be able to check out the various styles and designs on kitchen cabinets. You can fix an appointment in advance.
