Tired Of Blocking Your Own Success?
Techniques like EFT use the tapping of our energy pathways as a way to rid ourselves of limiting beliefs or emotions. Here you will see EFT master Carol Look use tapping with Law of Attraction Insider’s Eric Johnson, to address a common problem people face when they begin to accept abundance in their lives. This challenge is a fear of success and what will happen if success is achieved.
Before you begin your tapping exercise you need to calculate your vibration around whatever issue you are addressing. You begin by saying the statement aloud or by writing it down. “I’m afraid of being successful.” Next, you rate how this feels on a scale of one to ten where zero means you are fine with the issue and ten represents a significant problem for you.
Once you know where that feeling ranks on your own internal scale you can begin doing the meridian tapping. Start with the karate chop point on the side of your non dominant hand (where your hand would hit a board if you were trying to break it karate-style). Tap with the fingers of your dominant hand as you proceed with the verbal exercises:
CAROL: First state the problem but end it with an affirmation. “Even though I’m afraid to stand out and be successful…”
ERIC: “Even though I’m afraid of being successful…”
CAROL: “…I totally and completely accept myself anyway.”
ERIC: “…I truly accept who I am anyway.”
CAROL: “Even though I have all these reasons to be afraid to stand out and be successful…”
ERIC: “Even though I have these reasons to be afraid to shine…”
CAROL: “…and I know what my reasons are…”
ERIC: “…and I know what they are…”
CAROL: “…I accept myself anyway.”
ERIC: “…I love myself anyway.”
CAROL: “Although I have these fears and concerns about standing out and being a success…”
ERIC: : “Although I have these fears and concerns about standing out and being a success…”
CAROL: “…that’s okay.”
ERIC: “…that’s really okay.”
CAROL: “I accept myself anyway.”
ERIC: “I accept myself anyway.”
Now, take two fingers of your dominant hand and begin tapping on the stress release points on the face and body while naming the issue or problem. What this does is get in touch with the energy blockage and dissolves it. Next, go to the inner end of your eyebrow closest to your nose. State “I have these fears and concerns about standing out and being a success…”
ERIC: “I have these fears and concerns about standing out and being a success…”
Then move to the point at the outside corner of your eye socket where the bones make a little “v” before your temple and your hairline. Say, “I’m afraid to stand out and be successful.”
ERIC: “I’m afraid to stand out and be successful.”
Tap on the little bone right under your eye, where your eye socket and cheekbone meet, and say, “I’m afraid to stand out and be successful.”
ERIC: “I’m afraid to be successful.”
Now tap on your upper lip right under your nose. This is a very important acupuncture point. Say “It’s really no wonder that I’ve been sabotaging myself.”
ERIC: “No wonder I’ve been sabotaging myself.”
The next point is the chin point, right in the crease below your lower lip and above your chin. Just repeat the problem: “I’m afraid to shine.”
ERIC: “I’m afraid to succeed.”
Then tap on the collarbone point, one of the bones below your collarbone. Say, “I’m afraid to shine and I know why.”
ERIC: “I’m afraid to succeed and I know why.”
Tap under the arm about four inches below your armpit. Say, “I don’t feel safe standing out.”
ERIC: “I don’t feel safe standing out.”
The last tap point is on top of your head. This is a vital acupressure point. Say “I don’t feel safe standing out…”
ERIC: “I’m afraid to stand out…”
CAROL: “…and that’s okay…”
ERIC: “…and that’s okay…”
CAROL: “…cause I’m moving my energy.”
ERIC: “…because I’m changing my energy.”
Then you take a deep breath, say the statement once more, and measure it again. If you feel different when you say the statement than you did when you first measured, your vibration has changed. Your goal is to get the number as low as possible, which indicates the limiting belief has less power in your life.
